At Soul Midwifery, we are committed to providing comprehensive care throughout your entire pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. As your private midwife in Albury Wodonga, our mission is to support you every step of the way, ensuring you feel empowered and cherished during the best time of your life.

Comprehensive Care During Pregnancy

Our full-service midwifery care covers all aspects of your pregnancy, including:

  • Prescriptive Services: As an endorsed midwife, we are able to prescribe medications, request needed ultrasounds, and perform necessary diagnostics to ensure health and the well-being for you and baby.

  • Collaborative Care: We work closely with other health professionals and refer as needed to ensure you receive the best care possible.

Home Birth Support

We specialise in home birth midwifery services, allowing you to give birth in your own space. We provide support throughout the birthing process, helping you create a safe and nurturing environment for your family.

Postpartum Care

Our services doesn’t end after birth. We continue to support you during the postpartum period with regular visits to:

  • Wellbeing: We ensure the health of both mother and baby, addressing any concerns and answering your questions.

  • Guidance in Motherhood: as an experienced midwife we gently guide you through the early weeks of motherhood, offering support as you navigate this new chapter.

Midwifery care package

Full package of care for your antenatal, birth and postpartum care. We can support you to birth at home or in hospital.

  • Investment: Our total birth fee is $6000-6500, this is the full out of pocket costs and includes paying the second Midwife for the birth. Antenatal and postnatal appointments are all bulk billed.

  • This is a full package fee and includes all of your pregnancy care visits (approx. 1hr ea), birth planning session (approx. 2 hrs) birth care at your home, a second midwife at your birth, borrowing library, birth pool hire, tens hire, postnatal in-home visits (approx. 1.5hr ea) up to 6 weeks, price is inclusive of booking and administration fee's. We will arrange visits individual to you, as many as you need.

    * Additional travel fee's apply to 40kms beyond Albury/Wodonga

Antenatal & postnatal care

We offer individualised care during your antenatal and postnatal period. This can be for you if you're planning to birth in hospital, or birth at home.

  • We highly encourage a package fee for receiving antenatal and postnatal care through our service. You can book a free info visit to discuss pricing and inclusions for your pregnancy.

    Alternatively we can offer one-off visits at the price of $200 for antenatal and postnatal appointments. Medicare rebates are available of approx. $59- $79 per appointment

  • Pregnancy care in your home, education, advice, foetal wellbeing, diagnostic testing and ultrasound review, preparations for birth. Postnatal care including regular check-ins, assistance with recovery, breastfeeding and transition to motherhood.

Tens Hire

Tens machines are used for natural pain relief during early labour. Their action is to confuse the brain- to- body signals for interpreting pain and as use as a distraction tool.

  • The hire costs of a Tens machine is $69 for a 4 week hire period. You can extend to 6 weeks for an additional $10

  • The Elle Original - Has a labour pain relief mode, it does not have a backlight or contractions timer

    Elle 2 - Has the above features and a backlight and contraction timer.

    Elle PLUS - The newest model with all the bells & whistles plus a new look. The Elle PLUS includes a standard pain mode and can be used postnatally for pelvic floor recovery

    Note. 4 or 6 week hire periods are available at booking

  • We have 2 options for getting the Tens to you.

    Option 1. is local pickup from our residence in Thurgoona, you must return the machine to the address after the hire period.

    Option 2. Local delivery in the Albury/Wodonga area is available at an additional cost. We will pickup the machine also after the hire period.
